Has anyone used a DIY oil extractor for a Mustang? Recommendations? |

So, I’m looking to avoid the usual mess of draining the oil pan and thinking of trying one of those DIY oil extractors for my Mustang. The idea of not having to crawl under the car and deal with oil splashing everywhere sounds pretty appealing, especially since it’s always a race against time to make sure the oil doesn’t overflow. But, does an oil extractor really work as well as people say?
I’ve seen a few different models online, but I’m not sure which one is best for a Mustang’s engine. Some of them look kinda flimsy, and I’m not sure if they can handle the job. Do you have any recommendations for a reliable brand or model that you’ve personally used? I don’t want to get halfway through the oil change only to realize I still need to jack up the car and drain it the old-fashioned way. 😬
Also, is there anything tricky about using one of these on a Mustang? Do they get all the oil out, or is it better to stick to the good old drain plug? I’m just trying to figure out if the convenience outweighs any potential issues. Would love to hear your thoughts, especially if you’ve used one on a V8 Mustang!

Can I use DIY ceramic tint on my Mustang’s windows? |

Has anyone here tried a DIY ceramic tint on their Mustang? I’ve heard ceramic is supposed to be better for heat reduction, but it sounds tricky to install yourself. How’d it go for those of you brave enough to try? Worth it or should I just pay a pro?

Here’s a fun one for the mechanically inclined: I’m trying to save some money and want to build my own fuel pressure tester for my Mustang. Anyone know how to DIY it? I’m assuming it involves some hoses and a gauge, but I’d rather not blow up my engine trying to figure it out. Any DIY experts here?

Which is the best DIY car window tint for a Mustang’s rear window? |

Okay, tinting the rear window seems like the hardest part. It’s so curvy, and I’ve heard that getting the film to stick smoothly without wrinkles or bubbles can be a nightmare. For anyone who's tackled this, what’s the best DIY window tint kit for a Mustang’s rear window specifically? Did you go for one of those pre-cut kits, or are they just marketing gimmicks that don’t actually fit well?
I’m thinking of doing it myself to save some money, but I’ve seen mixed reviews on whether pre-cut kits are worth it. Plus, I’m a bit nervous I’ll end up with bubbles or creases that’ll haunt me every time I look in the rearview mirror. Also, should I go for ceramic or standard tint? Is ceramic worth the extra cost for heat reduction, or is it overkill for a DIY job?
Any tips, tricks, or horror stories to share? I could definitely use some advice before I potentially mess this up! 😬 Would love to hear about your experiences – and if anyone has a good YouTube tutorial recommendation, drop that too!

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about tinting the windows on my Mustang myself (because why not save some cash, right?). What’s the best DIY window tint for the job? I’ve seen kits online but no idea which ones are actually good. Anyone had experience with this? Did it turn out good or... bubble city? Would appreciate any tips!

How Much Does It Cost to Clean the Engine Bay of a Mustang? |

Cleaning your Mustang’s engine bay can keep things looking sharp and prevent issues like dirt buildup or corrosion. You’ve got two main options: go to a professional or do it yourself. If you go the professional route, you’re looking at spending anywhere from $50 to $200, depending on where you live and how dirty the engine is. The upside is that professionals know how to protect sensitive electronics, so you don’t risk damaging anything. It’s also quick and easy, but it can be expensive.
On the other hand, doing it yourself will cost around $10 to $30 for degreasers, brushes, and microfiber cloths. It’s a lot cheaper and gives you full control over how it’s done. However, there’s a risk involved—Mustangs have a lot of sensitive electronics under the hood, like the battery, alternator, and fuse box. You’ll need to cover these parts to protect them from water. When you clean, make sure the engine is completely cool, use a gentle degreaser, and rinse with low-pressure water or simply wipe it down carefully. Dry everything thoroughly afterward, and you can even apply a protectant to keep things shiny.
Whether it’s worth paying someone or doing it yourself depends on how comfortable you are with the process. If you’re confident and cautious, DIY can be satisfying and cost-effective. But if you’re worried about damaging your Mustang’s electronics, it might be safer to leave it to the pros. What do you guys prefer—paying for a clean or doing it yourself? And have any of you run into issues after a DIY engine bay cleaning?

What Are the Best Aftermarket Suspension Parts for a Ford Mustang? |

Hey all, I’m thinking about upgrading the suspension on my Mustang for better handling, especially around tight corners and on the track. I’ve heard that aftermarket suspension parts can make a big difference, but I’m not sure where to start. What brands or specific parts do you guys recommend? I’ve seen Steeda and Eibach mentioned a lot—are they worth the investment? Also, I don’t want the ride to become too harsh for daily driving, so any tips on finding the right balance between performance and comfort would be awesome. What suspension setups are you all running on your Mustangs, and how do they handle?
