Ford Mustang "Charging System Service Now" error
#1
Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a "Charging System Service Now" warning on my dash, and I'm a bit puzzled. This just popped up today, and my battery is fairly new, so I'm not sure what's going on. I haven’t noticed any issues with the lights dimming or any electrical problems. Has anyone else dealt with this? Is it something as simple as a loose connection, or should I be worried about the alternator? Any advice before I head to the mechanic would be appreciated!

I've seen that "Charging System Service Now" warning before, and it can definitely be a bit concerning. Even though your battery is new, the issue could still be related to the alternator or a loose connection. I’d recommend checking the battery terminals first to make sure they’re tight and free of corrosion. Also, take a look at the wiring around the alternator to see if anything looks loose or damaged.

If everything seems fine there, it might be worth getting the alternator tested to see if it’s charging properly. Sometimes the alternator can start to fail without obvious symptoms like dimming lights. If the warning persists, it’s probably best to have a mechanic take a closer look to avoid getting stranded.
