Alright, so I was super excited to have wireless charging in my Mustang – I thought it’d be convenient to just toss my phone on the pad and go, but nope... it’s just not working. At first, I thought it was my phone, but I’ve tried two different ones (both wireless charging capable) and neither of them charges. It’s like the charging pad isn’t even detecting them. No lights, no beeps, nothing.
I’ve double-checked the manual to make sure I’m placing the phone in the right spot, and everything seems fine on that front. I also made sure my phone case wasn’t too thick, even took it off completely just to test it – still nothing. Starting to wonder if I’m cursed with faulty tech or if this is just a common issue with the Mustang wireless charger.
Has anyone else run into this problem? I’ve read some people have had success with resetting the system by disconnecting the battery for a bit, but I’m not sure if I should go that route yet. It could also be something with the fuse or wiring, but I don’t wanna tear apart my dashboard if I don’t have to. I’ve also heard it could be an issue with the software – is there a software update for the system that I might’ve missed?
Before I start ripping out the charging pad or heading to the dealership, any advice or fixes would be really appreciated! Also, if anyone’s had to get theirs replaced, was it covered under warranty or are we talking $$$? Let me know if I’m just missing something simple here!
