Has anyone tried a deck plate mod on a Mustang for improved intake airflow?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 10-09-2024, 09:49 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

I’ve been hearing about the deck plate mod for Mustangs to improve airflow, and I’m curious if anyone here has tried it. Is it worth the effort, or am I better off going with a cold air intake or something more straightforward? Would love to hear some real-world experiences before I start messing with my engine.

What’s the best Mustang model to mod for street or track performance?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 10-09-2024, 08:03 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Alright Mustang fans, I’m thinking of getting into mods, but I’m not sure which model is the best to start with. I’ve heard the GT is great for street performance, but what about track use? Should I go for something older or stick with the newer models? And what mods should I prioritize—suspension, engine, or something else?

Which Ford Mustang models come with memory seats as standard or optional?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 10-09-2024, 08:01 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Does anyone know which Mustang models have memory seats as standard or at least as an option? I’m looking at upgrading my ride, and while memory seats aren’t a dealbreaker, I wouldn’t mind that luxury! Plus, my wife keeps adjusting my seat every time she drives my car, and I’m tired of readjusting it, haha. Any tips on models to check out?

Is Sports Mode on a Mustang designed for performance or daily driving?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 10-09-2024, 08:01 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Sports mode, guys—do you leave it on all the time or just for fun? I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth using for daily driving. It feels awesome, but I’m worried it’ll mess up the fuel efficiency long-term, or maybe it’s just in my head. Does it actually change things enough to notice day-to-day? Drop some knowledge on me!

What does Eco Mode on the Mustang’s AC do, and how does it affect fuel efficiency?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 10-09-2024, 08:01 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Alright, I’ve been using Eco Mode on my AC to save some gas (because who doesn’t love a few extra miles per gallon, right?), but does it actually make a big difference? It doesn’t seem to cool as fast, but I can’t tell if it's saving me much. Anyone else have any experience with this? Also, any tricks to make the AC more efficient without sacrificing comfort?

How does a modified Mustang spoiler compare to a Camry with spoiler?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 10-09-2024, 08:00 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

So, my buddy’s got this Camry with a spoiler (don’t ask why), and we’re debating if my Mustang’s spoiler would actually improve aerodynamics compared to his. I know they’re totally different cars, but does anyone have experience with how spoilers actually change the car's handling at higher speeds? It’d be great to settle this with some real feedback so I can win the argument

What’s the difference between car manufacture date vs model year Ford Mustang?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 10-09-2024, 07:59 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

This one confused me for a while—does anyone else get tripped up between the manufacture date and the model year? My 2020 Mustang was apparently manufactured in 2019, but it's a 2020 model. What's up with that? Does it affect things like resale value or parts compatibility? I just want to make sure I’m not missing something obvious here.

Can I install a body kit on a Ford Mustang without affecting performance?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 10-09-2024, 07:55 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Hey guys, I’m thinking about adding a body kit to my Mustang, but I’m worried it might mess with the performance. Anyone here done that? I don’t wanna end up with a cool-looking car that handles like a brick, lol. Does it affect the aerodynamics or speed? Or is it mostly for show? Also, any recommendations for good body kits would be awesome!

Can I lift my Mustang’s engine with a DIY outboard motor lifting harness?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 10-07-2024, 03:46 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Okay, hear me out: I’ve got a DIY outboard motor lifting harness, and I’m wondering if it could double as an engine hoist for my Mustang. Anyone tried something like this, or am I being a little too... creative?

Any DIY glove box repair tips for Ford Mustang owners?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 10-07-2024, 03:45 PM - Forum: Mechanical - No Replies

My glove box latch broke (because nothing can ever go smoothly), and I’m thinking of trying a DIY fix. Anyone done this on a Mustang? Is it a simple job or am I gonna regret starting it? Advice, please!
