How to Improve Mustang Towing Capacity with Mods?
#1
So, I know Mustangs aren’t exactly the go-to for towing, but I’ve got a 2018 Mustang GT, and I’m hoping to use it to haul a small trailer for weekend trips. The trailer I’m looking to tow is a lightweight teardrop camper, weighing around 1,200 lbs fully loaded. I know it's not a huge amount, but I’m still a bit concerned about whether my Mustang can handle it without causing any damage to the car.

I’ve been thinking about adding a few mods to help with the towing, like upgrading the rear suspension to handle the extra weight better or maybe even adding a transmission cooler. But I don’t want to go overboard and turn my Mustang into a truck, if you know what I mean! Anyone have any experience towing with a Mustang? Are there any tips or mods that can improve the towing capacity without totally messing up the car’s handling and performance?

I’m not trying to tow anything crazy, just this small trailer for camping trips. So, any advice on how to make this work smoothly would be awesome! I know it’s a bit unconventional, but hey, who doesn’t want to tow in style, right?
