What’s the difference between a pushrod and overhead cam engine in Mustangs?

For the tech heads out there, what’s the real difference between a pushrod engine and an overhead cam in a Mustang? I’ve always heard pushrods are more old-school but reliable, while OHC engines rev higher. But what’s better for a daily driver that you still wanna take to the track sometimes?
