What’s the horsepower of a 1995 Mustang GT?
#1
Does anyone know the exact horsepower of the 1995 Mustang GT? I’ve seen numbers vary depending on the source, and I’m curious if anyone has the definitive answer. Also, how does it compare to newer models? Still got some power left, or is it showing its age?

The 1995 Mustang GT came with a 5.0L V8 engine, and it was rated at 215 horsepower from the factory. Back in the day, that was pretty solid, especially for a pony car. Compared to newer models, it’s definitely showing its age in terms of raw power. For example, the 2024 Mustang GT cranks out over 450 horsepower, so there's a huge difference. That said, the '95 GT still has some kick and a lot of character, especially if you’ve done some mods over the years. It might not keep up with the newer ones in a straight line, but it’s got that classic 5.0 sound and feel that a lot of us still love.
