Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 - Honest review
#1
I recently swapped my old tires for the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02, and I’ve got to say, they’ve impressed me more than I expected. From the moment I hit the road, the difference in grip was noticeable. These tires feel like they glue to the asphalt, especially when cornering at higher speeds. It gives a solid, confident feel, which makes driving more enjoyable.

I took them out in both dry and wet conditions, and they handled both exceptionally well. On dry roads, they’re responsive and give you a good sense of control. But what really stood out was their performance in the rain. I was a bit skeptical at first, but they cut through wet surfaces without any signs of slipping or hydroplaning. It’s like they’re made to handle whatever weather you throw at them.

As for comfort, they’re surprisingly smooth for a performance tire. I didn’t feel like I was sacrificing ride quality for handling, which is a big plus. Noise levels are pretty moderate too; you hear a bit more hum compared to a touring tire, but it’s not distracting at all.

Overall, if you’re looking for a tire that offers a great balance of grip, handling, and comfort, the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 is a solid choice. It’s definitely worth the upgrade if you’re into spirited driving and want that extra confidence on the road.

I couldn’t agree more with you on the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02. I recently made the switch too, and they’ve been a game-changer. The grip these tires offer, especially during cornering, is something else. It’s like they just stick to the road, giving you that confidence boost when you’re pushing a bit harder.

I’ve also driven them in both dry and wet conditions, and they’ve performed exceptionally well in both. I was particularly impressed with how they handled in the rain—no slipping or hydroplaning at all, just solid traction throughout. And you’re spot on about the comfort level. For a performance tire, they ride surprisingly smooth, and while there’s a bit more road noise, it’s nothing too distracting.

All in all, I’m with you—these tires are definitely worth it if you’re looking for a solid mix of grip, handling, and comfort.

I recently switched to the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 as well, and I have to say, they’ve exceeded my expectations, especially in terms of performance. The grip during cornering is outstanding—it really does feel like the tires are glued to the road, which is a huge confidence booster, especially when driving a bit more aggressively.

I’ve also tested them in both dry and wet conditions, and they handled everything I threw at them without missing a beat. Like you mentioned, their performance in the rain is particularly impressive; I didn’t experience any slipping or hydroplaning either, which is a big relief when driving in less-than-ideal weather. The comfort these tires offer is also a pleasant surprise. Despite being performance-oriented, they provide a smooth ride, and while there’s a slight increase in road noise compared to touring tires, it’s nothing that detracts from the overall driving experience.

I completely agree with you—if you’re looking for a tire that delivers a great balance of grip, handling, and comfort, the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 is a fantastic choice. It’s definitely worth considering if you enjoy spirited driving and want that extra assurance on the road.
