What are the signs of a bad transmission mount on a Mustang?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-24-2024, 09:16 PM - Forum: Mechanical - No Replies

I’ve been noticing some weird vibrations when I accelerate or shift in my Mustang, and I’m starting to wonder if it could be a bad transmission mount. Could that be causing the issue? I’ve also been hearing some occasional clunking noises. Is this something I should be worried about, and how can I check if the transmission mount is the problem? Would love to hear if anyone else has dealt with this and what the signs were.

Why is my 1993 Mustang speedometer not working?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-24-2024, 09:12 PM - Forum: Electrical - No Replies

Hey everyone, hoping someone here can help me out. My ‘93 Mustang’s speedometer just quit on me without any warning. It’s not throwing any check engine lights or codes, so I’m a bit stumped. Could it be a mechanical issue with the speedo cable, or is it more likely something electrical, like a sensor or wiring problem?

I’ve heard the older models can be tricky with this kind of stuff, but I’d really like to avoid guessing my speed and getting a ticket 😂. Anyone else run into this? What should I be checking first, and any tips on how to fix it?

How do I program Homelink for a Liftmaster garage door in my Mustang?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-24-2024, 08:39 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

I’ve been trying to program my Homelink system with my Liftmaster garage door and wow, it’s been a challenge! I finally got it working after about three attempts. At first, it wasn’t syncing, and I realized I wasn’t holding the remote close enough to the Homelink buttons. You have to follow the exact sequence from the manual, or it’ll just blink at you endlessly. Also, don’t rush it—each step takes a bit of time, so be patient. Anyone else had a tricky time with this, or am I just cursed? Any tips to make this process smoother?

What is the maintenance schedule for a 2003 Ford Mustang?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-24-2024, 08:31 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

I've been trying to stick to the maintenance schedule for my 2003 Mustang, but sometimes I forget things like oil changes until the light comes on, lol. How often do you guys check fluids, belts, and hoses? I want to make sure I’m staying on top of things and avoid bigger issues down the line.

Why do I have coolant in the exhaust of my Mustang?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-24-2024, 08:23 PM - Forum: Mechanical - No Replies

Help! I noticed white smoke coming out of my Mustang's exhaust, and when I checked, there was coolant in the exhaust system. This can’t be good, right? Heard it could be a blown head gasket, but hoping it’s something less wallet-breaking. Anyone else dealt with this?"

Do I need a new key when replacing the ignition switch on my Mustang?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-24-2024, 04:24 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Alright, so I’m replacing the ignition switch on my 2005 Mustang, and I'm wondering if I need a whole new key for it. Can’t I just swap the switch out without messing with the key? Not trying to spend extra unless I really have to. Any advice?

How to replace a gas cap seal on a Ford Mustang?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-24-2024, 04:24 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Hey, quick question—anyone know how to replace the gas cap seal on a Mustang? Mine’s starting to crack, and I think it's affecting the fuel system pressure. Is this a DIY job, or should I leave it to the pros? Never thought a gas cap could cause me this much grief lol.

Why are my Ford Mustang door locks not working?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-19-2024, 02:13 PM - Forum: Electrical - No Replies

Alright, I’m dealing with something strange here – the door locks on my 2016 Mustang aren’t working. The key fob isn’t unlocking the doors, and the lock/unlock buttons inside the car aren’t doing anything either. I’ve checked the battery in the fob, and it seems fine, so I’m stumped.

Could it be something with the wiring or maybe a blown fuse? I’m not sure if it’s an electrical issue or if the Mustang’s system just decided to stop cooperating one day. Anyone else run into this with their Mustang? Any tips on what I should check first before heading to the dealership? I’d rather fix it myself if it’s something simple.

Help! The cruise control light on my Mustang is flashing, and I don’t know why. Cruise control still works, but the light won’t stop blinking. Any ideas on what could be causing it?

Can I mix old gas with new gas in a Ford Mustang?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-19-2024, 02:05 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Okay, so I’ve got some gas that’s been sitting around for a while. Can I mix it with new gas and still be safe driving? Or is that a recipe for disaster? I’m trying to avoid wasting it if possible.
