What is the top speed of a 2018 Ford Mustang? |

Alright, I know we’re not really supposed to be discussing this, but I’m curious – what’s the top speed you guys have hit in your Mustangs? I’ve got a 2018 Mustang GT with the 5.0L V8, and while I know the factory claims around 155 mph is the electronically limited top speed, I’m wondering if anyone’s managed to push it further, especially with any mods.
I’ve only taken mine up to around 130 mph (on a closed course, of course! ), but I know some of you have probably hit higher speeds. Anyone here broken past that limiter with a tune or anything? Also, how stable does it feel at those speeds? The car feels planted up to 130, but I wonder if it gets sketchy beyond that. Let’s hear those numbers, but keep it legal and safe, folks!

Are splash guards necessary for a Ford Mustang? |

I’m thinking about adding splash guards to my Mustang, but are they even worth it? I mean, do they really help or just mess with the look of the car? If you’ve got them, did you notice any difference, or should I skip 'em and just enjoy the mud splashes?

What is the alternator interchange list for a Ford Mustang? |

Hey folks, I’ve got a 2015 Ford Mustang with the 5.0L Coyote V8, and my alternator is on its way out. The charging system warning light came on, and I’ve noticed the battery voltage dropping, especially when I’m running the AC or headlights. I’m looking to replace the alternator but don’t want to drop a ton of cash on a brand-new one from the dealer.
Does anyone have a list of alternators from other Ford models (or even other makes) that are interchangeable with the 2015 Mustang GT? I’m hoping to find something that works without needing a lot of modifications, maybe from an older Mustang or an F-150? Ideally, I’d like to pick one up from a junkyard or a cheaper aftermarket option if possible. Has anyone had success with an alternator swap from a different vehicle? Thanks in advance for the help – trying to get this fixed without breaking the bank!

How can I reset the computer on a Ford Mustang? |

So, I’ve been messing around with some mods on my 2016 Mustang GT, and now I’m thinking I should reset the computer to get everything running smooth again. I’ve heard that disconnecting the battery for like 10-15 minutes can do the trick, but is that really all there is to it? Do I just pull off the negative terminal, wait it out, and reconnect it?
Also, will this reset everything or just some settings? I don’t wanna lose any of my radio presets or anything if I don’t have to. 😅 If you’ve done this before, any tips on making sure I don’t screw anything up? I’ve seen some people suggest pressing the brake pedal while the battery is disconnected to drain any leftover charge in the system – does that actually help? Would appreciate any advice from someone who’s done this on a similar year Mustang!

Why does my Ford Mustang belt squeal when AC is on? |

Hey guys, any idea why the belt squeals when I turn on the AC? It’s driving me nuts! The moment the AC kicks in, the belt starts screaming like a banshee. Could it be the tensioner or maybe just a loose belt? I’m not sure if I should just try tightening it or replace it. Anyone had this happen before?

I’ve been on the hunt for SVT wheels for my Mustang for a while now, but they’re harder to find than I thought. Anyone know where I can grab a set? Preferably without having to sell a kidney to afford them, lol.

How to manually reset the electronic throttle control in a Mustang? |

Hey everyone, I’ve been running into some annoying throttle issues with my 2014 Mustang. It’s the V6 model, and recently, the throttle response has been a bit sluggish, especially when accelerating from a stop. I’ve done some digging online, and it seems like resetting the electronic throttle control (ETC) might help clear things up.
From what I’ve heard, this isn’t a super complicated process, but I’ve never actually done it myself. I’d prefer not to take it to the dealer if I can avoid it, so I’m hoping there’s a way to reset it manually without needing any special tools. I’ve read that the reset can help recalibrate the throttle body, especially if it’s been acting up due to dirt, carbon buildup, or even just general wear.
Does anyone know the exact steps for doing this? I’ve seen a few methods floating around, like turning the key to “On” without starting the engine and pressing the gas pedal in certain sequences, but I’m not sure which one is the right process for a 2014 Mustang. Also, is there anything else I should look out for during this process, like warning lights on the dash or certain noises? I really don’t want to make things worse.
If you’ve done this before or know someone who has, I’d appreciate a detailed walkthrough! Also, any tips for cleaning or maintaining the throttle body after the reset would be awesome. Thanks in advance!
