2018 Ford Mustang Fuel tank size
Posted by: Nicko - 01-23-2024, 03:00 AM - Forum: Questions - Replies (3)

Hey everyone, quick question—I'm looking at picking up a used 2018 Ford Mustang, but I'm curious about the gas tank size. I tend to take a lot of road trips, and knowing the tank capacity would really help me plan better. Does anyone here know off the top of their head?

Ford Mustang 2.3l Ecoboost oil type
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 01-21-2024, 03:13 AM - Forum: Questions - Replies (2)

I recently bought a 2015 Ford Mustang with the 2.3L EcoBoost engine, and I’m planning to do my first oil change soon. I’ve been trying to figure out the best oil type for it, but the info online seems to be all over the place. Can anyone with the same engine give me some advice on which oil to use? I want to make sure I’m doing it right since this is my first turbocharged car.

Lowering my Mustang - is it legal?
Posted by: Nicko - 01-18-2024, 03:50 PM - Forum: Suspension - Replies (1)

I'm thinking about lowering my Ford Mustang, but I'm not sure about the legal side of things. Does anyone know if there are any specific laws or regulations I need to be aware of before I go ahead with it? I'm mostly concerned about whether it would pass inspection or if it could get me in trouble with law enforcement. If anyone has gone through this process or knows the rules, I'd really appreciate some guidance.

In the seek of 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 Heater hoses diagram
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 12-23-2023, 04:01 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

I’ve got a 2011 Mustang with the 5.0L Coyote engine, and I’m looking to do some maintenance on the cooling system. Specifically, I need a heater hose diagram because I want to double-check everything before replacing them. My repair manual is missing this part, and I haven’t had any luck online. Does anyone have a detailed diagram they could share?

What are the best years for Ford Mustang?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 12-21-2023, 04:07 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a Mustang, but I'm torn on which year to go for. I've heard certain years are legendary while others not so much. For those who’ve owned or driven a few, which years would you recommend as the most solid all-around Mustangs?

  Ford Mustang GT350 vs GT500
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 12-20-2023, 01:19 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

I know the usual debate of auto vs. manual and street performance gets a lot of attention, but I’m looking to dive into something a bit different. Imagine you’ve got one car that you’re committed to driving for the rest of your life, no matter what. Let’s put aside the transmission preference for a moment. Picture this: it’s 10 years down the road, your car has racked up over 100k miles, the warranty is long gone, and you’re pulling up to pick up your kid from school, engine rumbling, with that same goofy grin on your face. Which car would you still be excited to drive in that scenario? And is there a car you’d hesitate to keep around, even if you’ve maintained it perfectly yourself?

Lowered Ford Mustang - looking for a best choice
Posted by: Nicko - 12-19-2023, 03:25 AM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

I'm considering lowering my Ford Mustang, but I'm a bit unsure about the best approach. I've read a lot about different methods like lowering springs, coilovers, and air suspension, but I'm not entirely clear on which would be the best option for me. My main goal is to improve the car's handling and give it a more aggressive stance without sacrificing too much ride comfort since I still use it as my daily driver. I'm also curious if there are any specific issues I should watch out for, like changes in alignment or tire wear, and if anyone has experience with particular brands or setups that work well for Mustangs. Any advice or personal experiences would be really helpful!

1999 Ford Mustang GT heater hoses diagram
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 11-23-2023, 03:12 AM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

I’ve got a 1999 Mustang GT with the 4.6L V8, and I’m trying to sort out a coolant leak. I think it’s one of the heater hoses, but I’m not entirely sure how they’re routed. Does anyone have a diagram for the heater hoses on this engine? I’ve been searching online and through my manual, but I can’t find anything specific to this year and engine.
