Best Wipers for a 2018 Mustang During Rainy Seasons
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-06-2024, 09:49 AM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Hey, what are the best wipers for a 2018 Mustang? Mine barely last through the rainy season here. Any recommendations on ones that hold up well and don’t streak after a few weeks? I’m tired of replacing them every few months. Bonus points if they handle snow well too!

How to Improve Mustang Towing Capacity with Mods?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-06-2024, 09:48 AM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

So, I know Mustangs aren’t exactly the go-to for towing, but I’ve got a 2018 Mustang GT, and I’m hoping to use it to haul a small trailer for weekend trips. The trailer I’m looking to tow is a lightweight teardrop camper, weighing around 1,200 lbs fully loaded. I know it's not a huge amount, but I’m still a bit concerned about whether my Mustang can handle it without causing any damage to the car.

I’ve been thinking about adding a few mods to help with the towing, like upgrading the rear suspension to handle the extra weight better or maybe even adding a transmission cooler. But I don’t want to go overboard and turn my Mustang into a truck, if you know what I mean! Anyone have any experience towing with a Mustang? Are there any tips or mods that can improve the towing capacity without totally messing up the car’s handling and performance?

I’m not trying to tow anything crazy, just this small trailer for camping trips. So, any advice on how to make this work smoothly would be awesome! I know it’s a bit unconventional, but hey, who doesn’t want to tow in style, right?

Looking to switch out my stock steering wheel on my '17 Mustang for something sportier. Does anyone know the best size that’ll still feel comfortable for everyday driving? I want something that’s not too big or too small but still looks badass.

Ground Clearance: Will Coilovers Affect My Mustang's Ride?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-06-2024, 08:39 AM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Thinking about getting coilovers, but I’m a bit worried about ground clearance. I live in an area with some gnarly speed bumps, and the last thing I need is scraping every day. Does lowering your Mustang with coilovers affect daily driving that much? Any advice on how low is too low?

Top Mods to Boost Mustang Horsepower & Engine Performance
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-06-2024, 08:35 AM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

Hey everyone, I’m looking to add some mods to my Mustang to really boost horsepower. I’ve done some research and heard that cold-air intakes, a new exhaust, and maybe a tune are good starting points, but I’m wondering if there are any other mods out there that could give me a little more power without totally draining my wallet.

Ideally, I’m looking for something that’ll make a noticeable difference when I hit the gas—like, I want to feel it, not just see a slight bump on paper, you know? I’ve heard people rave about headers and even superchargers, but I’m not sure if that’s overkill for what I’m aiming for. I don’t track the car or anything, but I do want that extra punch when I’m driving around.

Also, has anyone done a tune themselves? Is it worth trying, or should I stick with a pro shop to avoid messing things up? Let me know what mods gave you the best bang for your buck—whether it's exhaust, intake, or even something I haven’t considered yet!

What's the Optimal Oil Capacity for a 2019 Mustang GT Engine?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-06-2024, 08:25 AM - Forum: Engine Oil - No Replies

Quick question—what’s the oil capacity for a 2019 Mustang GT? I just did my first oil change, and I’m second-guessing if I put enough in. I know it’s somewhere around 10 quarts, but does anyone know the exact number? Don’t want my engine crying for more oil lol.

Best Cold-Air Intakes for Improving Mustang's Gas Mileage

Hey guys, I've been thinking about getting a cold-air intake for my '18 Mustang. I heard they can help with gas mileage, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it. Has anyone here actually noticed better MPG after installing one? Or is it just for horsepower gains? Would love to hear your thoughts before I make the jump!

Is a 289 stroker kit worth it for more power on a classic Mustang?

Considering a 289 stroker kit for my ‘68 Mustang. Has anyone done this upgrade? I’m looking for more power without totally sacrificing reliability. Is the gain worth the cost, or should I look into other options first?

Holley vs. Edelbrock: which is better for a Mustang carburetor upgrade?
Posted by: v8ismyheart - 09-04-2024, 12:45 PM - Forum: Engine Options - No Replies

I’m in the process of upgrading the carburetor on my classic Mustang, and I’m stuck between choosing a Holley or an Edelbrock. Both seem like solid choices, but I want to make sure I pick the one that’s best for my driving style. My Mustang is mostly a daily driver, but I do like to hit the track on weekends, so I need something that’s versatile and reliable in both situations.

From what I’ve gathered, Holley carbs are known for their high-performance capabilities, especially when it comes to tuning. They seem to have a lot of aftermarket support and can be fine-tuned for maximum power, which sounds great for track days. But I’ve also heard they can be a little more finicky, requiring regular adjustments to keep everything running smoothly.

On the other hand, Edelbrock carbs are often praised for their ease of use and reliability. People say they’re a bit more “set it and forget it,” which sounds appealing for daily driving. I’ve read that they offer solid performance right out of the box, but I wonder if I’d be sacrificing some horsepower compared to a Holley, especially when I push it at the track.

So, what’s the verdict? Has anyone here run both on their Mustang? How did they hold up over time, and which one felt better overall? I’m leaning toward something that won’t require constant tinkering but still delivers when I want to have some fun on the weekends
