What are some cool custom mods for a Fox Body Mustang? |

Just picked up a Fox Body Mustang, and I’m itching to start customizing it! I know these cars have a cult following, and there’s a ton you can do to make them stand out. I’m thinking about everything – engine upgrades, suspension tweaks, and some cosmetic mods to give it that classic-meets-modern vibe. But I’d love to hear from others who’ve been down this road. What are some of the coolest mods you’ve done or seen on a Fox Body?
For engine upgrades, I’m considering a 5.0L performance rebuild or maybe adding a supercharger for some extra power. I’ve heard a lot about swapping out the stock intake manifold and exhaust for better airflow and performance gains. Anyone had luck with those mods? Is it worth it for the power boost?
On the suspension side, I’m thinking about lowering it a bit and stiffening things up with some coilovers or upgraded sway bars. I want the handling to feel tighter, but not too harsh for daily driving. Any suggestions for a good balance between performance and comfort?
Cosmetically, I’m debating whether to go with a clean retro look or something more aggressive. Maybe some aftermarket wheels, smoked headlights, or a custom paint job? I’ve seen some killer wide-body kits that really transform the look of the car. Anyone tried that, or is it overkill?
If you’ve done any cool mods to your Fox Body, drop your ideas here! I’m looking for inspiration, and I know these cars have so much potential for customization.

Are all Ford Mustangs rear-wheel drive? |

I’ve always assumed all Mustangs are rear-wheel drive, but is that actually true? Are there any models or years where they did something different? I’d be surprised if they went AWD at some point, but who knows!

I’ve been hearing a lot about Fox Body Mustangs, but I’m not really sure what makes them different. Can someone explain what exactly a Fox Body is and why they’re so popular? I’m thinking about buying one, but I wanna know what I’m getting into.

Is plugging a tire on a Mustang a reliable repair option? |

Got a nail in my tire yesterday and the shop suggested plugging it. Is that a good idea for a Mustang? I drive mine pretty hard, so I’m worried about the plug not holding up. Anyone had a plugged tire on their Mustang? Did it last, or should I just replace the tire?

What does "check charging system" mean on a Mustang dashboard? |

So, my Mustang’s dashboard suddenly threw up a “check charging system” warning, and I’m scratching my head trying to figure out what’s going on. I’ve seen it pop up before, but it went away after a restart, so I didn’t think much of it. Now, it’s sticking around, and I’m starting to get a little worried. I’m guessing it’s something to do with the alternator or the battery, but I’m not sure where to start.
From what I’ve read, this warning usually means the charging system isn’t working right – meaning the battery might not be getting the power it needs from the alternator. But it could be anything from a dying battery to a loose connection, or even a problem with the alternator itself.
Should I be worried about this immediately, or is it one of those things where I can drive it for a while without any major issues? I don’t wanna end up stranded with a dead battery, but I also don’t wanna rush out and replace the alternator if it’s something minor, like a loose belt or a bad wire. Has anyone dealt with this before? What’s the most common fix for this warning, and how can I figure out what’s actually wrong? Any advice would be awesome!

What problems might arise after changing spark plugs on a Mustang? |

So I just changed the spark plugs on my Mustang, thinking it’d be a routine job and the car would run smoother after. But now, instead of purring like a kitten, it’s running rough! It’s stumbling a bit at idle and feels sluggish when I hit the gas. I triple-checked the spark plug gaps, made sure they’re torqued correctly, and even went over all the connections, but something’s still off. What gives?
Has anyone else had this issue after swapping out plugs? I’m starting to wonder if I missed something simple, like a loose wire or maybe even a bad spark plug. I used quality plugs (at least I think so), so I doubt it’s that. Could it be an issue with the ignition coils? I didn’t change those, but now I’m second-guessing everything.
I’ve also read that sometimes the car’s computer needs time to adjust after new plugs, but I’m not sure how long that’s supposed to take. Is there a chance it’s a vacuum leak or something unrelated to the plugs? If anyone’s been through this and figured out what the problem was, I’d love some insight. Trying to avoid making it worse, but also don’t wanna take it to a shop if it’s something I can fix myself.
