Shelby GT500 top speed without the limiter: Has anyone tested it
Posted by: iloveanycar - 08-21-2024, 09:05 PM - Forum: Questions - Replies (1)

Has anyone here removed the limiter on their Shelby GT500 and tested the top speed? I’m curious about how much faster it goes without the factory restrictions. Of course, I’d only recommend this on a closed course or a track where it’s legal and safe. If you’ve pushed the limits, what kind of numbers are you seeing?

MT82 transmission issues: Are they still a problem on newer Mustangs?
Posted by: iloveanycar - 08-21-2024, 08:58 PM - Forum: Questions - Replies (1)

For those of you with newer Mustangs, especially the 2022 and 2023 models, are you still experiencing issues with the MT82 transmission? I’ve read mixed reviews—some say it’s improved, while others are still having problems with notchy shifts and gear lockouts. As a moderator, I’d like to get a clearer picture from the community to help others who are on the fence about buying.

2024 Mustang GT 0-60 times: What are you guys getting?
Posted by: iloveanycar - 08-21-2024, 08:56 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

What 0-60 times are you seeing with your 2024 Mustang GTs? I’ve been testing mine, and I’m getting around 4.2 seconds on average with stock tires and a full tank of gas. Is that in line with what others are seeing, or am I missing something? If anyone’s getting faster times, I’d love to know what setup you’re running!

Double X pipe on a Mustang: Does it make a noticeable difference?
Posted by: iloveanycar - 08-21-2024, 08:54 PM - Forum: Exhaust - No Replies

Has anyone here installed a double X pipe on their Mustang? I’m curious if it actually improves performance or if it’s mainly for sound. I’m considering making the switch but would like to hear some real-world experiences first. Does it give you that deeper exhaust note without too much drone? Also, any noticeable gains in horsepower or torque?

What does the P1450 code mean on a Ford Mustang?
Posted by: Nicko - 08-21-2024, 08:45 PM - Forum: Electrical - No Replies

Has anyone dealt with a P1450 code on their Mustang? I’ve read that it usually points to a fuel tank vacuum issue, possibly related to the EVAP system or the fuel tank pressure sensor. I’m wondering if this is something I should worry about right away or if it’s okay to wait a bit before getting it checked out. If you’ve had this issue before, what ended up fixing it for you? Any advice would be appreciated!

Experiences with Mustang PP2 wheels: Do they improve performance?
Posted by: iloveanycar - 08-21-2024, 08:12 PM - Forum: Rims - Replies (1)

I’m considering upgrading to the PP2 wheels on my Mustang GT. For those who have made the switch, did you notice a significant improvement in performance or handling? Are they worth the investment, or should I stick with aftermarket options? I’m mostly concerned about grip and stability at higher speeds.

Is the Ford Voodoo engine in the GT350 still the best choice?
Posted by: iloveanycar - 08-21-2024, 08:08 PM - Forum: Engine Options - Replies (2)

Is the Ford Voodoo engine in the GT350 still the best choice for performance enthusiasts? I know it’s got that unique flat-plane crank and high-revving character that makes it stand out, but I’ve also heard it can be a bit high-maintenance, especially with things like oil consumption. For those who’ve owned a GT350, is the Voodoo engine worth it, or are there any quirks that potential buyers should be aware of before taking the plunge?

Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 review for Mustang owners: Any feedback?

Has anyone here tried the Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 on their Mustang? I’m in the market for new tires and came across some good deals on these. How do they perform, especially in terms of grip and handling? Also, any feedback on how they wear over time would be great!

Opinions on the Mach 1 handling package: Is it worth it?
Posted by: iloveanycar - 08-21-2024, 07:52 PM - Forum: Questions - No Replies

I’m thinking about upgrading to the Mach 1 and am particularly interested in the handling package. Is it really worth the extra cost? How does it compare to the standard setup in terms of everyday drivability and track performance? If anyone has experience with both setups, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Are Mustangs reliable for long-term ownership?
Posted by: iloveanycar - 08-21-2024, 07:47 PM - Forum: Questions - Replies (1)

I’m considering buying a Mustang but am a bit concerned about long-term reliability. I’ve heard mixed reviews—some say they’re bulletproof, while others mention recurring issues with certain components. For those who have owned Mustangs for several years, what’s your experience been like? Are there specific models or years that are more reliable?
